Incredible experience from start to finish. The staff make this hotel - from reception, to bar staff, to bell boys - super friendly, helpful & you feel like the only guests. We felt so welcomed. The room was luxurious, clean & spacious with a huge bed. Super comfortable too! Wider hotel is beautiful & smells divine! loved the finishing touches & nod to the fire service. The drinks in fire bar were gorgeous & great atmosphere with live singers from mid afternoon (we stayed Saturday night). The breakfast was 10/10 with superb service. Loved the stay. What an amazing hotel with brilliant staff. A faultless stay. Every single staff member perfectly understands what 5* is and we were not disappointed. Every detail was amazing. The rooms are incredibly classy with a modern yet historic style, incorporating the ‘old fire station’ history of the building. A very comfortable stay in a 5* room. Quiet, relaxing, faultless and inviting we absolutely can’t recommend enough. The restaurant Siren equally impresses with food that was genuinely delicious enjoyed in a very special environment. The staff couldn’t have done enough to ensure we had a lovely evening. We chose the Ribeye Steak and Northumbrian Lamb, cooked perfectly and worth every penny! Breakfast was just as good, not a single issue and a tasty menu. Continental and cooked were available and again, genuinely delicious with a good selection! The hotel, rooms, staff, restaurant and attached bar ‘Fire’ all equally excelled, we thoroughly recommend and will most certainly be back. The location of the hotel is perfect for central Newcastle, ideal with everything major in very little walking distance. We look forward to our next stay, well done Hotel Gotham.

My wife and I stayed at the Gotham Hotel in Newcastle on 12th December as a birthday surprise for her, and I honestly cannot fault a single thing about our experience. From start to finish, it was absolutely outstanding. The hotel itself is breathtaking. The Firebar is stunning, the private lounge feels genuinely exclusive and luxurious, and our room was spectacular—beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and paired with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Every detail felt thought-through and indulgent. A huge thank you to Bethany, who went above and beyond to help me pull off this surprise. Not only did she secure an amazing rate for the room and breakfast, but she also added those extra personal touches—a handwritten card and chocolates waiting in the room—which completely made my wife’s day. She was truly blown away. My wife works in hospitality herself, specifically within hotels, and even she was surpassed by the level of service, attention to detail, and overall standard Gotham delivered. That speaks volumes. The care, professionalism, and warmth shown to us made this stay feel genuinely special rather than just another hotel visit. Gotham isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. It is without question a crown in Newcastle City, and we will absolutely be returning. Thank you for making such an important celebration truly unforgettable.

Stayed for two nights. Watch out for football nights when room rate goes very high - one of our nights was twice the price of the other? Opened in November 2025 so carpet smell is super nice in the corridor. Breakfast and service in restaurant is exceptional. Theme of Fire Station memorabilia was cool.

From Sophie’s messages confirming our reservation and valet parking, to the very thoughtful gift waiting in our suite, every detail felt personal and genuinely caring. The suite itself was stunning, beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. That bathroom ! Wow. Every member of staff we met was attentive, warm, and professional. This hotel is really raising the bar for hospitality in Newcastle. Thank you for making our stay and my birthday so special!

I had the most phenomenal stay at Hotel Gotham Newcastle to celebrate my partners birthday, and I can honestly say it was faultless from start to finish. The team went above and beyond, making the whole experience feel incredibly special. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Danielle at the hotel looked after us so warmly and attentively — she truly made us feel welcome and celebrated. Our room was stunning, beautifully designed, and absolutely immaculate. The food and drinks were outstanding as well. In the restaurant, Nick took amazing care of us. His knowledge, friendliness, and attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience, making it one of the highlights of our stay. What really made this trip unforgettable was how personal everything felt. Both Danielle and Nick played a huge part in that, and it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about creating memorable moments for their guests. I can’t recommend Hotel Gotham Newcastle highly enough. A perfect stay in every way — we’ll definitely be returning!

The best hotel we have ever stayed in! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was immaculate, luxurious, and beautifully decorated. We left feeling so relaxed and refreshed after a wonderful night's sleep on one of the comfiest beds we have ever slept on. Special thanks to Kirsty who looked after us and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We look forward to hopefully returning.

I was lucky enough to stay at Gotham a few nights ago and all I can say is wow! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and decorated to the highest standards. The bed was super comfy and I had a really great sleep. I loved all the unique touches in the room especially the mini bar! I had Cocktails in the Fire station bar were fantastic and the service was excellent, friendly and personable. I ate in the Siren restaurant afterwards and enjoyed an incredible vegan main dish paired with a glass of wine. It was superb! I honestly think this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I already can’t wait to return.
